The Talana is an honest good value hotel and the food although of limited choice was well cooked and of generous proportions.
The only downside for us was that the hotel was a little too far out of town.

All staff were friendly & attentive. Rooms basic but clean, pool lovely at end of the day & also clean. Nice hotel close to bus stops
Only bad thing was view from bedroom window of opposite hotel wall. Ask for room overlooking fields at the back of hotel.

We can only agree with most reviews for this hotel it is very clean and comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive to our requirements, breakfast was excellent with good choice, the room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable with the maid cleaning every day. This hotel is 2/3 star if you are expecting 4 star then book a 4 star? We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return
We were in a front upper room which did have some traffic noise but this was not any annoyance as it quietened down considerably at night time

Small, comfortable and very friendly hotel. All the staff, including Maria our waitress and the cleaning maid were absolutely wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much bother to any of the staff of the hotel. The reception we received was extremely good. Services were excellent and the proximity of the hotel was just what we wanted for our holiday. Would stay in the Talana again. (Should be more than 2*)

Ideal hotel with a very good service and very friendly staff. So many choices for breakfast: toast, bread and cereals. Clean pool, parking on site. Perfect, unbeatable location in Saint Helier, just next door to the main town of St Helier, and restaurant and lounge. Also, to St Hellier town centre. Honestly no complains at all.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming They gave the hotel a very relaxed and informal atmosphere. The heated outdoor pool was very much appreciated.
The car park was a bit of a nightmare. It was like squeezing into a jig saw puzzle!

The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful, the pool was heated well though a little on the small side. The terrace at the back was good, overlooking open countryside and geese which was nice. Room reasonably roomy, lots of storage, though dated. Beds very comfy and crisp clean linen, TV and tea facilities. Bathrooms definitely need a total re-vamp - the showers got very very hot and not easy to adjust, but did the job. Nice to have a private car park, but quite tiny and limited space. A bit tense at the entrance/exit onto main road. The Talana was perfect for me and my daughter. It was a base, but very clean, lovely staff, made to feel welcome and enjoyed it. Yes, I would return to this hotel.

Comfortable rooms and good facilities in the room. Nice family style food served. Staff really friendly. We asked for a room away from the road and they gave us a great room overlooking the poolside and the surrounding fields. It was nice and quiet at night.
Breakfast times could be a little better. Its only from 08.30 to 09.30 which might not suit some people, also check out is 10am which I think is far too early but if you aren't travelling until later they will offer to hold your bags till then
